Where are you based, and what locations do you photograph weddings?
I live in the Brierley Hill area of the West Midlands. In general I have a 50 mile radius working area, but I am available to cover anywhere within the UK. For venues far away, a small cost for fuel may be required, this is negotiable depending on venue and package booked.
Do you have any backup equipment incase of problems?
I have never had any equipment failures luckily, but if the worst were to happen, I bring a huge amount of equipment to each wedding. This includes my 3 main cameras, 2 other cameras, several lenses, several memory cards and batteries for each camera. Your photos will also be backed up throughout the day.
What kind of photographs will you take?
Most the day will be photographed in a documentary style where I will try to stay out of the way and capture the true emotions and events as they happen. Of course many people want at least a few of the traditional posed photos but this will all be discussed in your consultation meeting.
I'm not sure whether I want an album or a USB!
Firstly, it doesn’t matter if you are undecided to begin with. Many people don’t think they want an album but after receiving your images, you may decide otherwise, you can just purchase one then. If you are buying an album from me, they will need to be paid for in full before production, but you are under no obligation or time limits to buy one.
Are your prices good value?
I believe they are extremely good value, I know first hand that weddings can be expensive, and I know most couples want a simple good quality package. So I don’t include unnecessary extras unless you want them. I offer a straight forward all day package with all photos on a USB which keeps costs down for both of us. I also have very little overheads and work from my home office. Of course with wedding photography “you get what you pay for” but if you don't want 3 albums, 2 dvds and an online gallery - why pay for them? Even if you want to add on extras, either before or after the wedding, I promise to be competitive on my prices.
How many photos do I get and when do I get them back?
I don’t like to give a general answer as it depends entirely on both length of time I am photographing, venue, number of guests etc. I will try to upload a few photos online soon after the wedding as a sample of whats yet to come. You will usually receive your photos 2-4 weeks later but I will stay in touch throughout the whole process to keep you updated.
How much deposit do you require?
All I ask is a £100 deposit to secure your booking and of course the package price on the day of booking. The remainder will need to be paid before the wedding date as will be discussed with you.
I am happy to be paid in instalments also if this is beneficial to you.
Sounds Great, where do I sign up?
I advise we have a consultation either at the local pub, coffee house, your home or anywhere that takes your fancy so we can discuss any finer details and get a chance to meet before you decide for definite. If you are happy, we can sort contracts and deposits then.
